Chapter FL1-K 2011 Couple of the Year

Bill & Liz Maxwell

Bill is originally from San Jose, California and has been in Florida since 1977. Liz is from Dundee, Scotland and has been in Florida since 1995. We met 28 years ago on Bill’s first of many business trips to Scotland. We have 4 grown kids, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and 1 great-grandson in our combined family.

In the mid 1970’s, Bill rode a Honda CB305 and then in the 1990’s and early 2000’s he rode a Honda Magna. Liz was a co-rider with her Uncle in Scotland. In 2005, we purchased our Goldwing with Motor Trike conversion. We enjoy the trike together which is the most important part of riding our trike.

We joined GWRRA in early 2006 when FL1-K was being established in Palm Coast and St. Augustine. Bill and Liz have been the Chapter Educators since May 2006. Bill recently was appointed a Senior Educator and Liz has taken the position of Treasurer. Through GWRRA we are always looking forward to learning new techniques, improve our riding capabilities and riding with our friends.
